All Hell Breaks Loose
Uhg! The USA keeps amazing me with its ignorance of the law. I'm not puting it down or anything, but... They arrested Canadians. Canadians that were no longer a part of the company in question. So silly.
That said, I do realize that it is hard to define a line between country laws and the Internet.
If you are in the USA, you may notice more and more payment programs (NETeller, for example) drop out of the market for you. Due to the new laws and regulations the were imposed some months ago, they are slowly shutting themsleves off from the USA market in order to avoid legal charges.
Sucks.
Sorry for not updating so much... My new pride and joy is a website dedicated to Moms and Babies... Being a mom turned me into a total softy... Oh and the whole market crash didn't help much either, lol
Sunday, January 21, 2007 @ 3:45 pm - Jocelyn Ontario Moving Forward Oh no! Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse for us casino goers, Ontario steps in to propose a new legislation that will make it illegal to advertise Gambling Online in the province of Ontario. One step forward, three steps back. I swear... These countries that we live in aren't as free as we thought. I understand some of the financial concerns that the government and politicians have regarding things such as online gambling, but doesn't it make more sense to legalize it all? By banning it, we are using tax dollars to enforce it... Instead, we could legalize it and gain more tax dollars to use on more important things, like health care, education, housing, etc. Just my personal opinion, though... I'll try to keep you all updated about that. Wednesday, October 18, 2006 @ 4:45 pm - Jocelyn Welcome Back, Me! Alright, after a long break, I'm back! Back with a 4 month old daughter that is an absolute joy to have around. Unfortunately, as I'm sure you've all heard, the USA passed a legislation that bans banks from allowing deposits to online casinos. Don't worry, though. It's up to your bank to enforce the rule and not you. If you manage to make a deposit to an online slots program, congratulations. You are in the clear - your bank will take the hit, not you :) Since the USA market is a little slow, I'll slowly be turning this site into one aimed at other countries, where online players will have use of it. No use preaching who's decent online if you can't use them, right? I hope the USA can reverse the legislation, but we can only dream. Until then, take a look around the site to see where you can still play if you are in the USA :D Tuesday, October 17, 2006 @ 4:48 pm - Jocelyn MY new blog This is my new blog for Slotspay.com This blog will include links to my favorite online sites - whether or not they are slots-related. Any person that spends all of their time blogging about slot machines probably has a little issue or two that they should be dealing with... eh? :P I will post blog entries about certain casinos if they have a promotion that is worth mentioning, random rants about bad casinos (like 888.com), and other things of such. So you know, I am a 21-year-old female that is currently awaiting my first born with my partner, Dan. We are expecting June 19th, but we will probably be greating this little one earlier than that.
